The 20th Of November- My third jumping lesson
Sadly, Barnie is *not* the horse for me though. I had a few nice jumps but he's a bit psycho. All he wants to do after a jump is take off, which is a little nerve racking as I am new to jumping.
We did a line of 3 groups of trot poles, then a diagonal line to another another 2 sets, so 15 poles total up to a 2ft jump..and he overjumps like a foot over the jump. I had two run-outs, but then we fixed them. Rob helped me through.
It was especially difficult when Barnie took off a stride too soon and catapulted me onto his neck, so i lost my stirrups and he took off.but I brought him back...we. just. should. not. be.partnered.up. end of story, but it was still pretty fun. Then I rode Charlie, Lora's horse, after she left and did trot and canter work so I could help Ash with him I gave her a lesson and homework to do. a fun time.
Best Moment: Our good jumps. The lesson didn't go so well, as Barnie and I are not good for eachother.but I'm trying another TB next time named Otis so we will see how that goes.
I don't get to ride again until possibly the fourth :( which stinks... since this Thursday is Thanksgiving, but I may try to reschedule my lesson for sooner than in three weeks with Marty :/
*Bonus News* Brecksville stables is closing and RR is getting their schoolies! they are starting to arrive now *right* before my next dressage lesson with Marty... I hope she puts me on Merlin or Donnie!
